VMoveCAE is the translator to translate CAE models and results files into VCollab files (CAX files). VMoveCAE filters, extracts and compresses only the required information from CAE data files. Many CAE models and results files can be converted into ultra-compact VCollab CAX files. VMoveCAE runs in batch mode and also in GUI mode to extract models and results into CAX files. VMoveCAE also provides tools to extract meta data from the CAE files and provide the same in XML/Text format. VCollab Pro is a post processor of the CAX files and is a standalone desktop tool. VCollab Pro is designed for analysts and helps analysts to post process CAX files, create Viewpoints and create 3D CAE Reports (enriched CAX files with viewpoints) from raw CAX results files. Using VCollab Pro, the CAX file can be edited/enriched. CAE reports can be authored using VCollab Pro by creating Viewpoints. Multiple CAX files can be merged into a single CAX file for multi-disciplinary/multi physics visualization ex. CAX file from CATIA, CAX file from ABAQUS and CAX file from Fluent can be merged into one single CAX file. 3D Slides (Viewpoints), 3D Walk thrus, 3D Stereo Views can be created and saved into CAX, for improved 3D presentations, documentation and easier sharing. VCollab Pro also provides Python interface using which the CAE Report generation process can be easily automated.
3D HTML, 3D PDF & JT Export Plug-ins: One can export the CAE models and results from the CAX files using VCollab Pro into the 3D HTML , 3D PDF as well as JT files for easier sharing of CAE data with others. VCollab Presenter is a 3D Viewer/Light Weight Post Processor to visualize and explore the CAX files. Installation using RPM installers:
Installation using tar.gz files:
Installation using .tar.gz files is trivial. For example, user can extract VCollabPro by using "tar -zxvf VCollabSuite-26.1-2.el8.x86_64.tar.gz" to a location of his preference.
Installation on License Setup:
Installation using RPM installers:
- VCollabSuite can be installed using "rpm -ivh VCollabSuite-26.1-2.el8.x86_64.rpm".
- The default installation path is '/usr/local'. The installation directory can be changed using --prefix option to the rpm command.
Installation using tar.gz files:

Installation on License Setup:
- For floating license, user should set the environment variable VE3D_LICENSE_FILE to point to the license server machine. Ex: VE3D_LICENSE_FILE=@licserver
- The generic/nodelock license file can be copied into '/usr/local/share/licenses' folder. Alternately, user can copy the licenses to any folder and set the VE3D_LICENSE_FILE='vcollab_license_folder_path'
